Danny Welbeck, Phil Jones, Jordan Henderson and Kyle Walker are among the players named in Stuart Pearce's latest England Under-21 squad. Welbeck, Henderson and Walker have all earned full international caps in the past but remain in the Under-21s for their games against Azerbaijan and Israel at the start of next month. Welbeck's team-mate Phil Jones is also named in a large 27-man squad, which contains 12 first-time call-ups - although players named by Pearce could yet also be involved in the senior party named at the weekend. Among the new faces in Pearce's squad are Everton's Ross Barkley, Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong and Liverpool trio John Flanaghan, Jonjo Shelvey and Andre Wisdom. Pearce believes the experience of the likes of Henderson and Welbeck will be invaluable to the newer players as he looks to get their Euro 2013 campaign off to a solid start against Azerbaijan at Vicarage Road on September 1. I'm very pleased that a lot of players are pushing through at both club and country level," said Pearce. "You've got the likes of Welbeck, who is a still an Under-21 player, around the senior squad; the likes of Henderson mentioned in squads, and Walker. "There are a lot of players who have gone through the system and that is also what we're trying to achieve, give them as much experience as we humanly can, at all the age groups.
