Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter has been rewarded with a contract extension to keep him at The Den until 2014.
Trotter joined the Lions on a permanent basis from Ipswich Town back in the summer after impressing on loan last season.
He initially signed a two-year deal with Kenny Jackett's side and his consistent form this term saw the 22-year-old linked with a move to Sunderland.
However, Trotter is enjoying playing for the Championship club and he is delighted to have been handed a fresh deal.
"Things have gone very well for me and for Millwall over the last 12 months and I'm looking forward to being part of things here for the foreseeable future," Trotter told the club's official website.
"These are exciting times. After winning promotion at Wembley we are having a good first season in the Championship and everyone at the club is hungry for more success."
