Millwall boss insists Sunderland have made no contact over midfielder

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has moved to reject reports linking Liam Trotter with a switch to Sunderland. It has been suggested that the Black Cats are interested in the midfielder, who only joined Millwall on a permanent basis from Ipswich in the summer. But Jackett has quelled the rumours, insisting that Sunderland have not expressed an interest in the 22-year-old. He told News Shopper: "I've had no contact from Sunderland, or any calls. People did tell me that was in the papers and I have seen it but we've had no contact from anybody at all about Liam. "I wouldn't welcome any move and we are not under any pressure to sell any of my players. We want to build and improve and certainly don't want to weaken. "It isn't something which is on my mind and I can only go on solid phone calls and contact. "We as a club and myself as a manager have had no contact from anybody about any of our players, including Liam Trotter."
