Southend hope over Clarke, Dervite and Robinson

Southend manager Steve Tilson is hoping to keep hold of a key trio of players this summer. The Roots Hall outfit claimed a creditable eighth-placed finish in League One this season and Tilson wants Peter Clarke, Dorian Dervite and Theo Robinson to stay. Dervite and Robinson are on loan from Spurs and Watford respectively, whilst Clarke's current deal is set to expire. "Dorian and Theo have been big players for us this season and it would be great to be able to keep hold of them, but we will have to wait and see," Tilson told the club's website. "We will have a little bit of work to do in the summer, but hopefully Peter Clarke will sign a new contract and stay."
