Fabrice Muamba has urged Bolton to build on an encouraging performance against Arsenal at the weekend.
The Trotters have not claimed three points since the opening day of the season and they slipped down to 16th following Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to the Gunners.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Muamba feels there were plenty of positives to take and thinks Arsene Wenger's men had to be at their very best to win.
Muamba is confident that Bolton can bounce back and enjoy a lot of success this season, particularly at the Reebok Stadium.
"Lesson learned, we were much better in the second half and asked a few questions of them. To be fair, Arsenal defended very well," Muamba told the club's official webite.
"If we can continue like that we can cause problems for anybody in the Barclays Premier League.
"It reflected how we played in the first and second half against Stoke on the opening day of the season.
"It sends the message that when you come here, you are in for a tough game."
