Leeds United have re-signed Bolton Wanderers' Slovakia international defender Lubomir Michalik for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old spent time on loan with The Whites at the back end of last season, but was unable to prevent Leeds being relegated to League One.
Bolton secured the services of defender Gary Cahill from Aston Villa on Wednesday, paving the way for Michalik to join Leeds.
Then manager Dennis Wise had been tracking the 24-year-old and new boss Gary McAllister was clearly happy to continue to press on for a deal.
Michalik had been playing regularly for Bolton of late and is likely to step straight into the side against Tranmere at Elland Road this weekend.
Michalik's arrival caps a busy day for Leeds following the permanent capture of Darren Kenton, while Alan Sheehan has also joined on loan from Leicester.
