Bolton wide man admits future fears at The Reebok

Stelios Giannakopoulos will quit Bolton unless he is given more playing time. The Greek wide man found himself pushed to the periphery under Sammy Lee but is now waiting to learn if he will come back into the fold now Gary Megson has taken over the reins. Stelios has courted attention from Sheffield United and Reading in the past and it does look as though he could seek pastures new. However, for the moment at least, he is content to fight for a starting berth at The Reebok.

Warning

"I am not starting the games I would like to start and that troubles me. I am used to playing week-in, week-out," he told The Sun. "Every player wants to play and if I do not get that chance I will have to see what I can do for my future. The only thing I can do is concentrate on the next game and hope I am playing. "I did not have the best start to the season because I had surgery on a hernia which had to be done. Now I am 100 per cent fit and focused. "Gary Megson has not spoken to me. I don't know if I am more involved than I was under Sammy Lee."
