Gary Megson says he wants Jussi Jaaskelainen to stay with Bolton.

However, with the Finn's contract due to expire next summer - it appears the Trotters boss has a tough battle to convince the 32-year-old to stay put.

Jaaskelainen has just been named Finnish Player of the Year and his stock is very high around Europe - with a host of clubs checking on his situation.

A host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are also known to be interested and they are all only too aware of Jaaskelainen's talents.

However, there are also clubs from across the continent amongst those Internazionale - who are also keen and could open talks in January.

But Megson is hopeful he might be able to persuade Jaaskelainen to stay.

"Jussi is one of the best keepers in Europe. We'll sit down when the time is right," claimed Megson.
