Bolton midfielder to concentrate on playing

Gary Speed has been relieved of his coaching duties at Bolton by manager Sammy Lee. The veteran midfielder, who was appointed first-team coach by Lee at the end of last season, will focus on playing. Speed has been left out of Bolton's last two games at home to FK Rabotnicki in the Uefa Cup and the Premier League fixture against Chelsea. Lee wants the 38-year-old to step away from his coaching role to concentrate on helping The Trotters on the pitch. "I would like him to focus on his game at this moment in time. I don't want anything to distract him," he told the club's official website. "I want everybody - coaches and players - to be fully focused on their game."
