Mikel Alonso is backing his team-mates to lift Bolton off the foot of the Premier League table.
Sammy Lee's side have just one win from the opening six games and went bottom following Derby's victory against Newcastle on Monday.
Bolton turn their attention to the Uefa Cup this week when they play Rabotnicki in Macedonia on Thursday.
However, on-loan Real Sociedad midfielder Alonso says improving The Trotters' league position remains the priority.
"While we are concerned about the situation, I'm confident we will move from our current position as we have good players," he said.
"It is important we do this as our form affects our fans. They love the shirt and the team.
"It is disappointing to be at the foot of the table and we are anxious for things to change."
