Bolton are reportedly trying to sign Sparta Rotterdam winger Rachid Bouaouzan.
The 23-year-old has one-year left on his current deal with the Dutch outfit and he could be available for a cut price cost of 500,000 euros (£340,000).
FC Utrecht were rumoured to be interested in Bouaouzan, but Dutch media have now reported that Bolton manager Sammy Lee is interested in the Moroccan's services.
It is not expected that Bouaouzan will sign a contract extension with Sparta and the club may look to cash in.
Bouaouzan has made 63 appearances for Sparta since making his professional debut for the club in 2003.
