Nicky Hunt has expressed his surprise at Bolton Wanderers' position at the bottom of the table.
Bolton are the only club in the Premier League without a point so far, with new boss Sammy Lee enduring a difficult start to his tenure.
Hunt concedes he has yet to experience a worst start to a season during his time at The Reebok Stadium.
But the full-back is trying to stay positive in the hope that Bolton can kick-start their season, starting with Reading on Saturday.
"With the players we have got we should not be in this position," Hunt told the club's official website.
"It is a very testing time for us as we have never had such a bad start. Last season we had 20 points from 10 games.
"But we have got to keep our heads up and hopefully results will start coming our way."
