Bolton have asked for Nicky Hunt's red card in the Peace Cup to be reviewed.Bolton have asked for Nicky Hunt's red card in the Peace Cup to be reviewed.
The full-back was red carded during Bolton's 1-1 draw with Seongnam on Thursday and the decision could have further ramifications for Hunt.
Bolton boss Sammy Lee is worried that Hunt could miss the start of the Premier League season.
"I have asked the official to review his decision and he said he will talk to the tournament organisers," Lee told Bolton's website.
"I hope he will change his mind. If the decision stands then we could face losing Nicky for some matches when the Premier League starts."
Meanwhile, the club are assessing injuries to Ricardo Gardner and Stelios Giannakopoulos.
Gardner injured his hamstring during the Seongnam match, while Giannakopoulos hurt his calf in the build-up to the game.
"Both players will receive scans to understand the full nature of their injuries," club doctor Richard Freeman said.
"As we are in pre-season we don't want to take any risks. Both players were receiving treatment for precautionary measures and we hope they will be okay to resume training soon.
"Ricardo sustained his injury whilst turning in full motion and he felt his hamstring tighten up. Without hesitation, we took him off the field and made sure there wasn't any lasting damage.
"Stelios felt a problem in his calf before the game and, again without taking risks, we felt that it was best for him to sit out the match even though his withdrawal from the game came quite late on."
