Bolton have confirmed the signing of Spanish defender Cesar on a short-term deal.
The move ends a long chase for Bolton as they have been trailing the 29-year-old for some time.
Cesar claimed earlier this week he had agreed a deal to join Bolton after cancelling his contract at Levante.
The former Deportivo La Coruna ace will now link-up with Sam Allardyce's side for the remainder of the season and the Bolton chief was delighted to have him on board.
"I am delighted to sign Cesar for the rest of this season," Allardyce told the club's official website. "Once he became a free agent we moved quickly to secure his services.
"He needs to build his fitness levels up before featuring in the Premiership.
"I have been monitoring him for quite some time and he has some key attributes which will potentially strengthen our defensive unit once he reaches the optimum levels of fitness.
"With only three experienced centre-backs at my disposal, Cesar can make an impact in the last 11 games of this season."
