Lee eager to see deals done

Sammy Lee admits Bolton are eager to tie Kevin Davies and Tal Ben Haim to new long-term deals.

Both players are out of contract in the summer and continue to be linked with a host of Premiership clubs.

Davies (pictured) appeared close to agreeing a new contract at the end of last month, but has still to put pen-to-paper.

Ben Haim, however, is still some way off agreeing terms on a new deal and is reportedly a target of some of Europe's top clubs.

While talks continue with the pair, Lee confirmed Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is scouring the market for possible additions to his squad.

"Talks with both players are ongoing," Lee said. "We want to keep all our first team and keep them fit.

"Sam is working around the clock to try and supplement the squad. He never stops."

Ben Haim has played in all three defensive positions this season and the Israeli stopper insists he does not mind where he plays.

"I will play whichever position the manager puts me in," Ben Haim said.

The 24-year-old is expected to be involved in the FA Cup third-round tie at Doncaster on Saturday as Allardyce puts out a strong side in the hope of going far in this year's competition.

Ben Haim added: "The cup is one of the targets we set at the beginning of the year. Bolton have big ambitions as we have some very good players.

"We all work well together so our ambitions are a bit higher than they were in 2006."
