Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has ended his interest in signing Slovenian international defender Branko Ilic.
Ilic has been training with the club recently in the hope of winning a permanent switch to The Reebok Stadium.
But Allardyce has ruled out a January switch for the stopper, believing he will be unable to make the desired impact.
Allardyce did however keep open the possibility of reigniting his interest in the future, but will look elsewhere in the meantime.
"He's a player we may take another look at later, but for the moment I don't think he will have much of an impact on the first team," Allardyce told the club's official website.
