Bolton are closing in on the January signing of Slovenian international Branko Ilic.
The Domzale defender has revealed he has already undertaken a medical at The Reebok Stadium ahead of a move to England in the New Year.
The only remaining hurdle for Bolton to negotiate is agreeing a transfer fee with the player's current employers, and Ilic has his fingers crossed that he will be allowed to pursue his dream of playing in the Premiership.
"It's true," Ilic told the Slovenian media. "I was in England for three days.
"I had some medical tests. I trained with the first team and played a game for the reserves.
"I also met Sam Allardyce and watched the game against Chelsea.
"I'm very thrilled and I hope this transfer will go through.
"It would be a dream come true for me, but now the clubs have to agree about the transfer fee.
"I hope everything will work out well."
The former NK Olimpija defender is highly rated in his home country, and will provide a fresh option for Trotters boss Sam Allardyce if Domzale agree to his departure.
