USA international Steve Cherundolo has denied he could be set for a summer move to Bolton.
The Hannover full back has been linked in the German press with a close season switch to The Premiership but this idea has since been rejected by the 27-year-old.
Cherundolo, who recently scored his country's goal in a 4-1 defeat by Germany, insists he is content at Hannover - with whom he has recently penned a new deal.
With two years left on his existing contract, Cherundolo believes that a lack of genuine news is merely adding fuel to talk that has precious little substance.
"The press here has done an excellent job on speculating and throwing names and rumors out there," Cherundolo told Yanks Abroad.
"To be honest with you, a lot of this is just going around because they have nothing to write about.
"I have a contract for two more years. I expect to be playing next year in Hannover, so that is how I am going about this summer."
