Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is close to agreeing a new contract with the club.
Much confusion has surrounded the Finn's future at The Reebok Stadium but all should become clearer very soon according to manager Sam Allardyce.
Jaaskelainen, the club's longest serving player, has been a constant in the Bolton team this season but rumours surfaced about disagreements over terms in his new deal.
Allardyce admitted he may have to sell the goalkeeper if his future was not sorted before the end of the season but it now seems that the contract issue between the two parties has been resolved.
Jaaskelainen has been an integral part of Bolton's success and keeping him at the club has long been a target for Allardyce and the Bolton board.
"From what I can understand, Jussi is close to agreeing his deal," confirmed Allardyce on the club's official website.
