Leg break for Hunt

Bolton Wanderers have lost Nicky Hunt for six weeks with a hairline leg fracture.

Bolton Wanderers have lost full back Nicky Hunt for up to six weeks with a hairline fracture in his left leg.

The England Under-21 international sustained the injury in the dying stages of Saturday's 1-0 win over Portsmouth.

The 22-year-old joins fellow defender Ivan Campo on the sidelines - much to the disappointment of manager Sam Allardyce.

"I am deeply disappointed for Nicky," Allardyce told the club's official website.

"The injury was sustained in the closing minutes of the match, and he could well miss our next five matches.

"The injury situation is a little worrying, and the squad is looking thin in key areas."

Despite losing the services of Hunt, Allardyce is confident his side can get a result in their Uefa Cup clash at Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

"We'll cope with the situation and should be okay for Thursday's match in Bulgaria," he added.
