Bolton boss Sam Allardyce believes new boy Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye can make a real impression next season.

The 27-year-old Senegal international has finally completed a season-long loan switch from Lens having received a work permit.

Allardyce pursued a deal for the versatile African after he impressed during a trial spell at the Reebok Stadium this summer.

Faye becomes the third Senegal international in Bolton's ranks and his new taskmaster is predicting the player to make a solid impact next term.

"I am delighted that Abdoulaye has signed,'' Allardyce told the club's official website.

''He will be a great addition to our squad.

''He's a versatile player with proven experience in France and possesses the right character to play in what is the toughest league in the world."
