Oldham Athletic have confirmed that Jamaican international Jermaine Johnson will be staying at Boundary Park until February 28.

The Bolton Wanderers midfield/striker has agreed to stay with The Latics for a third month, as the club attempts to steer itself from the Second Division drop-zone.

The pacey Jamaican has become a popular figure with the Boundary Park faithful and his re-signing will be welcomed by both the fans and boss John Sheridan alike.

The club can also confirm that the player has been called up to the Jamaican national squad for the fixture against Uruguay in Kingston on February 18.

However, Johnson will not miss any games for Oldham. The forward will leave for Kingston after the away game with Port Vale on February 14 and then return, prior to the game with Tranmere Rovers on February 21.
