Spanish striker Javi Moreno would love to join Bolton Wanderers after talking to Ivan Campo, according to his representative.

Pedro Bravo says that the Atletico Madrid marksman has thought over a move to The Reebok Stadium and has now decided that he would like to join The Premiership.

The former Milan man has struggled for regular football since leaving Alaves and will now travel to England to discuss the move with Trotters officials.

"The player, Antonio Alfaro (his agent) and I will fly to Manchester and today or tomorrow he will speak with Bolton," said Bravo.

"If everyone is in agreement, he will sign until the end of June. The main thing for Javi is that he wants to play football and this has been the problem."

Moreno would be the latest in a line of high-profile imports for boss Sam Allardyce, and a previous signing Ivan Campo seems to have helped draw Moreno to the club.

"When he played for Alaves he was one of the most important players there and reached the Uefa Cup final.

"Then he moved to Milan where he only played about 11 games and scored something like nine goals.

"But at Atletico he has not been playing and he knows he is a good player and wants the chance to show it.

"He is happy to move to Bolton and play in The Premier League, he knows Bolton and has seen them on the television.

"Ivan Campo is there and doing well and he has spoken to him about the move."
