Poole stays with Bolton

BOLTON goalkeeper Kevin Poole has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce was keen to keep the 39-year-old to act as experienced back-up for first choice keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Poole made just three appearances for Bolton last season due to the form of Jaaskelainen, but Allardyce was delighted to have secured his future.

"Kevin has done a fantastic job for us during the 18 months that he has been here. He's the ultimate professional and I'm delighted to have him on board for another season," Allardyce told the club's official website.
