PIERRE-YVES ANDRE will return to Nantes in the summer with a permanent switch to Bolton looking increasingly unlikely.

The French forward moved to the Reebok on deadline day of the winter transfer window, but has only played a minor role in the club's battle against relegation.

Andre has made eight substitute appearances for Sam Allardyce's side since his arrival and it is unlikely that he will be offered a permanent move.

Allardyce has said that he is a fan of the player but money will be tight at the club, especially if the club suffer the drop down to Division One.

The 28-year-old still has two years of his current contract left at Nantes, but the French side are eager for him to leave La Beaujoire to get him off their wage bill.

The former Bastia man now seems set to return to Le Championnat, although he may not start next season at Nantes.
