BOLTON WANDERERS young striker Jonathan Walters has signed a new contract, less than six months after arriving at the club.

The 19-year-old moved to The Reebok Stadium in April from Blackburn Rovers and he has impressed enough to earn a new deal already.

The player's agent Neil Sang confirmed to planetfootball.com that a four-year deal has been signed.

"Jonathan has signed his new contract," Sang said.

"He has done really well in pre-season and he is delighted to have signed a new deal.

"He was very unlucky not to be involved in their opening match against Fulham and he could very well feature very soon for the first team."
