OLDHAM ATHLETIC have landed Bolton defender Dean Holden on a one-month loan spell.

The 21-year-old stopper made 12 first-team appearances for The Trotters during the 1999/2000 season, but his progress was halted the following season when he broke his leg.

He spent the summer working on his fitness by playing in Iceland, and has been a regular fixture in the Wanderers' reserve side.

Meanwhile, Latics boss Andy Ritchie (pictured) is continuing his hunt for new talent, with a midfielder and a striker believed to be amongst his main priorities.
