Bury sign Everton striker

Bury have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of striker Courtney Duffus from Everton on a loan deal until January.

The Shakers have been searching for another forward after boss David Flitcroft revealed both Daniel Naridello and Clive Platt had picked up injury problems this week. Duffus joined the Toffees along with his younger brother Tyrone in 2011 and helped his club clinch the Under-18s Premier League title last season. "Courtney is a player we have watched for a while now," Flitcroft told Bury's official website. "We get out to a lot of games and he caught the eye a few weeks ago. "He has pace, power and wants to run in behind and hurt other sides. "Courtney is very mature for his age and is a player that I am really looking forward to working with." Duffus has travelled with the Shakers to Southend ahead of Saturday's game and he could be included in the team alongside full-back Tom Kennedy, who returned to the JD Stadium on loan on Thursday.
