Everton central defender Sylvain Distin has signed a one-year contract extension with the Merseyside club.
Distin's new deal will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2015, the club have announced on social media.
The 36-year-old has been at Everton since 2009, and would have been out of contract at the end of the season.
Distin is the second Everton player to sign a new deal this week, with fellow defender Leighton Baines agreeing a long-term deal on Monday.
An Everton statement read: "Sylvain Distin has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Everton Football Club until the summer of 2015."
