Costa Rican pens four-year contract at Goodison Park
Everton have completed the signing of Bryan Oviedo from FC Copenhagen on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The Costa Rican was granted a work permit following a successful hearing in London on Friday afternoon.
The 22-year-old has been a regular starter for FCK after joining from Deportivo Saprissa in his homeland.
He can operate at left-back and on the left side of midfield and is widely expected to be a welcome addition to David Moyes' squad.
Oviedo, who has been the target of several Premier League clubs, has opted for a move to Goodison Park.
Oviedo told the
club's official website: "I am so very happy. This is a very good opportunity for me.
"The last two or three days have been very stressful and tiring but I am so happy now. I am feeling good and right now everything is positive.
"I know a lot about Everton. I watch Everton games and Premier League games on the TV and it is a very good league."
The player becomes the Toffees' fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Steven Pienaar, Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas.
