Everton captain Phil Neville has talked up the club's ambitions of this season qualifying for Europe.
David Moyes' squad have shed their tag as perennial slow starters in the Premier League having followed last Monday's win over Manchester United with a victory at Aston Villa.
There has already been talk of Everton's potential to at least finish the season in the top six and former United player Neville thinks it is a possibility.
He said in the
Daily Star: "If we can keep everyone fit, we can be challenging for European football."
Discomfort
Steven Pienaar's third-minute goal on Saturday and further efforts before half-time from Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic gave Everton the points at Villa Park.
Karim El Ahmadi pulled one back for Paul Lambert's Villa but Neville believes Everton capitalised on the discomfort in the Midlands.
He said: "The early goal really knocked Villa. They wanted to impress under the new manager at home and we knew that.
"You could sense the nervousness crept in and we knew from last year that we could control the game.
"Last year here you could sense the anxiety. We knew they were going to give it a go but after our result over Manchester United, we knew it was all about us."
