Everton are understood to be checking on Levante's Xavi Torres.
The 23-year-old midfielder is currently on a season-long loan from Malaga.
Levante have an option to buy Torres on a two-year deal at the end of the season.
However, it is understood a host of clubs are checking on Torres, who has impressed so far this season.
The former Villarreal youngster is now believed to be attracting interest from a number of teams.
Levante have not named who are checking on Torres, but Everton are understood to have watched him at the weekend in a 2-0 home victory over Atletico Madrid.
The player himself would not comment on possible reports of interest in him, saying: "I do not want to say anything about this, but it is praise of my work."
