Phil Neville is refusing to point the finger at goalkeeper Tim Howard for Everton's opening-day defeat at Blackburn.
The USA international spilled a routine cross, which allowed Nikola Kalinic the simplest of tap-ins as Rovers won 1-0 at Ewood Park on Saturday.
But skipper Neville insists that Howard has not received any criticism from his team-mates.
"There's no need to rally around him. He's allowed a few more errors before we start to get on his back," he told the club's official website.
"He has pulled us out of the mire many a time. We have to move on, we are all human and that is football.
"We win together and lose together."
