Toffees youngster stays with League One outfit

League One outfit Crewe Alexandra have extended Patrick Boyle's loan stay at the club from Everton for another month. The Alex had hoped to secure the youngster for the remainder of the season, but have settled for a four-week extension. First-team coach Steve Holland is delighted Boyle's stay has been extended, but is crossing his fingers the last two games of the season he misses will not be crucial. "We are delighted to have extended Patrick's loan deal until the end of April. I think it takes him up to April 20th and he is set to miss the last two games of the season," Holland told the club's official website. "Hopefully, by the time those two matches come around we will be safe and Billy Jones will be back to cover that position. We are hoping that our fate will have been decided by then but you never know. "Patrick was keen to stay here. He has enjoyed playing competitive matches and he has settled in well with the rest of the players. I think it has been a good experience for him."
