David Moyes could not hide his delight after his side's 6-1 drubbing of SK Brann.
The Blues turned on the style to dispatch the Norwegian champions and secure a place in the last 16 of the Uefa Cup against Fiorentina.
Yakubu scored a hat-trick, Andrew Johnson added a brace and Mikel Arteta completed the route in what Moyes hailed 'a great performance'.
Moyes told the club's official website: "It was great to score six and it was a great performance.
"We have scored a few goals here at Goodison. It was a professional job and we could not take any chances with the team we put out tonight."
The result marked a seventh consecutive win in Europe, a new club record and Moyes was pleased with the quality in front of goal.
"For the first half hour we did not play that well so the first goal was crucial.
"The finishing and the quality of our play was excellent."
