David Moyes is hoping Everton's AWOL striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni proves a point against SK Brann on Wednesday.
Moyes was left fuming last weekend when Yakubu's late arrival following the Africa Cup of Nations forced him to do without the Nigerian ace against Reading.
With The Toffees down to the bare bones for their Uefa Cup third round first leg clash in Norway on Wednesday, Yakubu will be given a swift chance to atone for his error of judgment.
Moyes believes the issue has been put to bed and he is now looking for Yakubu to do his talking on the pitch.
"Yak's back and it's done with now, that episode has ended," stated Moyes.
"I just hope he feels he has a point to prove because he let us down by not coming back on time.
"We've moved on now, but he will be important because he is one of those with European experience and that is vital.
"This will be a tough game in any circumstances, but with injuries it is going to be a struggle getting a team out."
