Barnsley boss Simon Davey has brought Anderson de Silva and Lewin Nyatanga back to the club on the final day of the transfer window.

Anderson has agreed to return to the club on a permanent basis from Everton after impressing in his performances earlier in the campaign.

The midfielder's fee is undisclosed but the deal will keep Anderson at the club until 2010 subject to the relevant paperwork being completed.

Derby County defender Nyatanga will rejoin the Tykes on a season-long loan with an eye to a permanent summer switch.

Nyatanga is one of two players to exit Pride Park on deadline day, with The Rams having also released midfielder Bob Malcolm after his contract was cancelled.
