Cardiff City have turned down an enquiry from Everton about the availability of Joe Ledley, according to reports.
The South Wales Echo claims that Everton were willing to offer in excess of £3million for the Welsh international.
Ledley is reported to be a target for a number of clubs, while it is suggested Cardiff could consider selling some of their top players to ease their financial problems.
However, chairman Peter Ridsdale insists the Championship club have no intention of allowing their star players to leave.
"We're building something here at Ninian Park," a club statement read in the South Wales Echo.
Ridsdale added: "There have been enquiries for four different players in total and if we had been interested they would have become firm offers.
"But we told all four clubs who rang us 'no chance'. We could be on the brink of something special at Cardiff City and we have to keep this team together."
