Andy Johnson has no plans to knock on David Moyes' door despite losing his starting place at Everton.
Yakubu Aiyegbeni's rich vein of form means Johnson is currently being forced to keep warm this festive season on the substitutes' bench.
However, Johnson is delighted with Everton's unbeaten run and is not looking to disrupt the team's shape or rhythm in order to climb the pecking order.
The former Crystal Palace ace is eager to regain his place in the side, but after playing for over an hour against AZ Alkmaar in midweek, is happy at his current playing time.
"Of course I'm hungry to play," explained Johnson. "But at the moment the team is doing well and I am just delighted for them.
"We are on a great unbeaten run, I am playing my part and pleased to be involved.
"I am happy to be fit again and was thrilled on Thursday night to get 70 minutes under my belt and get a goal.
"But like I say, it is not about me, it is about the team."
