Everton defender Joseph Yobo is backing Aiyegbeni Yakubu to come good following his strike against Derby on Sunday.
Yakubu ended his barren run with Everton's second in their win at Pride Park and Yobo believes the striker is finally starting to settle at Goodison Park.
"Yak is a fantastic player," he told the Liverpool Daily Echo. "You need time to settle in and I think he is starting to do that.
"It's been a bit difficult for him since he came here but it is always going to be that way when you come to a new club.
"We know he is going to score goals and lots of them. He's been disappointed because he hasn't scored a lot.
"He is a striker who thrives on confidence and hopefully the goal will give him that."
