Barnsley have signed Everton midfielder Anderson de Silva and Burnley defender Stephen Foster.
Foster has inked a two-year deal at Oakwell after Barnsley agreed an undisclosed fee with Burnley for the 26-year-old.
Brazilian midfielder De Silva arrives at the Championship club on a month's loan with the option to extend it.
De Silva first signed for Everton 2005, but was unable to obtain a visa and so spent an extended loan spell in Spain with Malaga.
He finally arrived at Goodison Park in January this year and made his debut last season against Charlton, but he is well down the pecking order in David Moyes' first-team plans.
Foster and De Silva could both make their debuts this weekend against Plymouth.
