Toffee starlet out for four months

Everton have confirmed that injured striker James Vaughan will be sidelined for at least four months. Vaughan dislocated his shoulder in the pre-season friendly with Preston in July and the forward required an immediate operation. The club have now confirmed that the 19-year-old will be out of action until November after Vaughan was reviewed by a specialist. "James dislocated his shoulder which is a nasty injury in a professional sportsman and it always needs repairing," Everton physio Mick Rathbone told the club's official website. "He has been to the specialist again and things are going tremendously well, but we are looking at an estimated time of four months, certainly no less."
