David Healy's agent has played down talk linking the Leeds man with a move to Everton.

Reports earlier this week suggested Everton were lining up a surprise move for the Northern Ireland international.

Everton could be in the market for a new striker after losing both Andy Johnson and James McFadden to injury recently.

However, Healy's representative Steve Hughes insists he has had no contact with Everton regarding the former Manchester United and Preston man.

"I have had no contact with anyone or spoken to anyone regarding David," Hughes told skysports.com.

"I don't know where that link (Everton) came from.

"David is only concentrating on trying to help Leeds get out of trouble in the Championship."
