Rangers striker Dado Prso faces a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Prso picked up the injury in Saturday's 5-0 win over Dundee United.
The former Croatia international was forced to limp off with the injury just before half-time at Ibrox.
New Gers boss Walter Smith does not expect to have Prso available for up to four weeks.
Rangers are hoping Prso will recover in time to face Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Uefa Cup on 14th February.
Meanwhile, Rangers are thought to be closing in on the signing of Everton defender David Weir.
Everton are willing to let Weir leave as he is well down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Smith is believed to have held talks with Weir and he is hoping to make him his first signing since returning to Ibrox.
