The Football Association are considering Everton's response to their request for information over an incident involving Newcastle midfielder Emre.
The FA contacted Everton following allegations Emre had made racist remarks during Newcastle's defeat at Goodison Park on 30th December.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder insisted afterwards that Emre had no case to answer, but The FA are now considering Everton's findings.
An FA spokesman said: "Everton were asked for their observations by The FA. We have received their response and are now giving it due consideration."
Meanwhile, Newcastle teenager James Troisi has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old Australian winger who, though yet to make his senior debut, was an unused substitute in three of The Magpies' Uefa Cup matches this season has signed an 18-month contract.
