Everton defender Matteo Ferrari is interested in extending his stay at Goodison Park beyond the end of the season.
The Italian is currently on loan from Roma and it had been thought he would return to Italy when his season-long loan expired in the summer having struggled to settle on Merseyside.
However, Ferrari says he would consider staying at Everton next year in order to prove himself in The Premiership after making just 13 appearances this term.
"I would like to know where I will play next season," said Ferrari. "The only thing I know for sure is that I have a contract with Roma and if nothing happens then I will go back.
"The main issue is that I would like to prove I am a Premiership player.
"I have not really had this chance so I would like to have next season as well."
