David Moyes was full of praise for his Everton side after they thrashed Aston Villa 4-1 at Goodison Park.
The Toffees hit the ground running and first half goals from James McFadden, Leon Osman and Tim Cahill had the visitors on the ropes at half-time.
Villa did pull one back through Gabriel Agbonlahor, but Cahill's second of the game wrapped up a comfortable win for Moyes' side.
The Scottish tactician is delighted the goals are now flowing and believes the side full deserved their three-point haul against Villa.
"It was terrific how the players went about their job," said Moyes. "The goals we got early on gave us something to build on.
"When they got back to 3-1 things got a little jittery, but credit the boys, we thoroughly deserved the win.
"I think we've got players who are capable of scoring the goals. McFadden, Beattie have been scoring and Cahill has helped."
Moyes also believes Beattie is on the cusp of an England call-up along with the likes of Tony Hibbert and Leon Osman.
"He's not far away from it," he added on Beattie's chances of making England's squad for the World Cup.
"Hibbert, Osman and Beattie, they'd all be in a B international. They've got to keep plugging away."
