Everton manager David Moyes has criticised Joseph Yobo for gifting Wayne Rooney a goal at Goodison Park.
The Toffees followed their UEFA Champions League defeat to Villarreal in midweek with another home setback and their cause was not helped by Yobo passing to Rooney inside his own box at the start of the second half.
The former Everton favourite gleefully accepted the present and it proved to be the final goal in a 2-0 triumph for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
"Joseph has not said much after the game," Moyes told Everton's official website.
"But you know that you don't play square across the goal as a centre half.
"Centre halves are there to kick the ball up the park and head it away. If you can add a little more to it then fine.
"But, first of all, you should do your job.
"He knows I am disappointed we gave them an opportunity.
"I wish we had been given a tap-in goal.
"I can't remember us being given a tap-in goal."
James Beattie limped off with a foot injury but the early signs are that it is not a serious problem.
