Lens striker Olivier Thomert has expressed his desire to play abroad in the future.

The 25-year-old has attracted the interest of clubs in The Premiership, with Everton thought to be keen on the former Le Mans hit-man.

Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Manchester City have also been mentioned with Thomert, while Spanish club Villarreal are also monitoring the player's situation.

With his future seemingly uncertain, Thomert claimed he is happy for the time being at the Felix Bollaert and that he will not move to another club in France.

"If I leave, I will not stay in France," Thomert told Lens' official website.

"Lens is a big club, so to go to another French club does not interest me.

"It will be a foreign club₻England perhaps₻but for the moment, I am here.

"I'm training with the (Lens) squad and all is good. One must see how things unfold."

One player that is leaving Lens is defender Rod Fanni, who seems set to sign a long-term deal with Ligue 1 rivals Nice.
