Fulham manager Chris Coleman insists Papa Bouba Diop will not be leaving the club to join Everton in the summer.

The Senegal international is rumoured to be on Everton's wanted list at the end of the season as David Moyes prepares for a European campaign.

Diop has enjoyed a fine debut season in The Premiership and has established himself as the driving force in Fulham's midfield.

But, while Coleman accepts some players may be sold in the summer, he insists Diop will not be among the exodus from Craven Cottage.

"He's going nowhere," affirmed Coleman.

"We could lose players in the summer but Papa's certainly not one of them.

"He's very important to us."

Meanwhile, Fulham midfielder Lee Clark is refusing to take Premiership survival for granted.

The Cottagers are seven points clear of the relegation zone but Clark does not feel that is a cast-iron guarantee of safety.

Clark said: "We still need a couple more wins. We're taking nothing for granted.

"Anything can happen and we're going to be battling away for every point."
